En Plein Air is a French expression which means "in the open air," and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. This style of painting makes Sedona a unique and beautiful setting to express your creativity on canvas. The 6th Annual Sedona Plein Air Festival will return to Sedona October 23rd – 30th sponsored by the Sedona Arts Center. The Sedona Real Inn & Suites is just minutes from scenic Red Rock Crossing, the perfect location for setting up your “box easel” on the Red Rocks and capturing Cathedral Rock beneath your brush.

Take part in complimentary Plein Air Painting classes and listen to Guest Speaker, Stuart Shils. A day will be spent in Historic Jerome and there will be daily artist lectures and demos. Thirty-two, award-winning artists’ have painted Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon and their work will be available for viewing and purchase during the event.
